For Stage-Door's musical of 2005 a completely different format was tried.  Rather than performing a well known musical, instead  they performed a special show, It's a Swing Thing.  Swing Thing was a compilation of songs from the infamous Swing era, showcasing the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and Tony Bennett amoung others.  The show was directed and produced by Sue Knight and Lisa Perry with assistance from other members of the company, which helped to make the show a spectacular success,
